Subject: New Positive COVID19 cases in Lawrence County, OH
New Cases: July 16, 2020 – 13 new cases were reported today
Out of 16 lab reports received today, we have 13 newly confirmed cases for a total of 134 confirmed cases. Demographics: ages 7-70; 4 black, 9 white; 5 females, 8 males. Two of the new cases are hospitalized, bringing the number of hospitalized patients to 10.
New Cases: 13 confirmed cases were reported today. A total of 3,779 tests have been done. We have completed the monitoring of 295 contacts and confirmed cases. This number doesn’t include the confirmed cases and their contacts we monitored prior to the system being put in place. The number of contacts we are currently monitoring is listed below.
Positive case individuals are compliant with home and hospital isolation protocol as per public health recommendations.
The Lawrence County Health Department continues to work on case contacts and monitoring of contacts for symptoms. Should a contact of a positive case become symptomatic COVID19 testing will be initiated.
