A Letter from the Lawrence County Commissioners

Many people often ask, “what makes a county great?” Is it the wealth of natural resources? The excitement of new job opportunities and development? The vibrance and pride of the communities within it?

All of these things add to it, but what truly makes Lawrence County great, in our minds, are its people. Hard-working. Fair. Honest. Dependable. Friendly. People are by far our most valuable resource, and they are the threads that weave together the fabric of our hometowns, our main streets, our counties and our nation. Our people are a driving force; the catalyst that drives the engine of rich, rewarding economic development.

The future of Lawrence County is bright and continues to shine. With new economic developments in the works and exciting changes happening all around us, the need has never been greater for all of us to work together for a stronger Lawrence County. Let’s take our next steps into the future together with confidence, building on our foundation of pride, trust, and hard-working values.

Always In Service,

Mike Finley – Commissioner, DeAnna Holliday – Commissioner, and Dr. Colton Copley – Commissioner
