Daily press releases of new cases ending today:
Today will be the last day we post daily covid numbers on our Facebook page. Commissioner Holiday discussed this a bit on Tuesday during the Lawrence County Commissioners’ meeting. Right now, the health department is working very hard to get the vaccine out to the community while continuing to do disease investigation, contact tracing, and ensure reports are sent to the state in a timely manner. Getting the covid numbers ready for a report each day takes away from the time we are able to spend doing these other things, and we are often very late in getting it ready to upload to Facebook. ODH posts new numbers each day at 2 p.m., based on reporting that each health department does. This is a good place to get good information: www.coronavirus.ohio.gov. We’ll post this link to our webpage (www.lawcohd.org) and it will also be on the commissioners’ page (www.lawrencecounty.org). It has been our pleasure to report to you each day. We hope you will continue to follow our page as we will share public health-related information, and we will ensure you receive timely information. As always, please do what you can to protect yourself and your loved ones.
