Lawrence County Community Foundation Fund Application Deadline Approaching
The Lawrence County Community Foundation Fund (LCCF) was established in July 2022 as a vehicle for attracting resources that can be invested to benefit Lawrence County residents today and into the future. A local community fund of the Foundation for Appalachian Ohio (FAO), LCCF is committed to increasing opportunities for Lawrence County communities and residents by inspiring and supporting philanthropy. The Lawrence Economic Development Corporation, Ironton-Lawrence County Community Action Organization, and Lawrence County Commission spearheaded the creation of the new fund.
The Lawrence County Community Foundation (LCCF), in partnership with the Foundation for Appalachian Ohio (FAO), is accepting applications from nonprofit and public organizations seeking funding for a project or program serving Lawrence County.
LCCF and FAO’s I’m a Child of Appalachia® Fund will award grants to projects or programs that benefitting the residents of Lawrence County across the five areas essential to generating and sustaining transformative change: Arts & Culture; Community & Economic Development; Education; Environmental Stewardship; and Health & Human Services.
Projects should increase quality of life, create access to opportunities or implement a solution to a need in Lawrence County. Up to $10,000 in grants will be awarded. The suggested grant request range is $500 to $5,000.
Applications will be accepted until 11:59 p.m. Tuesday, September 27.
