Administrative Approvals

- Certification of the County Auditor confirmed that appropriations align with official resource estimates for 2025.
Appointments and Contracts
- Kevin Turvey was reappointed as the 2025 Lawrence County Apiary Inspector.
- A $65,000 administrative services agreement was approved for CAO 2025, alongside environmental reviews for specific exempt projects.
- A collective bargaining agreement extension for AFSCME Ohio 8 was approved, effective until January 31, 2025.
Personnel Changes
- New hires and advancements for the Department of Job and Family Services (DJFS) and Lawrence County EMS were approved.
- Resignations of Logan Daniels (PT EMT) and Lori Morris (Director of Finance) were noted.
- Dog tag fees for 2026 will increase to a flat rate of $16.
Landbank and Task Force Appointments
- Commissioners Copley and Finley were appointed to the Lawrence County Landbank, with proxies also designated.
- Commissioner Finley was named to the Storm Water Task Force.
Additional Approvals
- Juvenile residential contracts with Adams, Fayette, Gallia, and Scioto counties were approved for 2025.
- A 2025 Marine Patrol Grant was accepted for the Sheriff’s Department.
- The board approved a grant agreement with the Dollar Energy Fund for utility relief.

Project First Impression is a collaboration between the Lawrence County Commissioners and the Lawrence-Scioto Solid Waste Management District. This initiative brings together law enforcement, trustees, mayors, officeholders, and citizens to work as one and stop people from illegally dumping and littering throughout the county.
