Administrative Approvals
- Meeting minutes from June 10, 2025, were approved with corrections.
- Floodplain permits were renewed for Riley Development Company and Elizabeth Township Trustees for grading and maintenance work.
- Financial appropriations and transfers were approved, including a $325,000 transfer for the Solid Waste Building and CDBG grant allocations for administrative and flood projects totaling over $700,000.
Appointments and Contracts
- Chris Kline was appointed Acting Administrator.
- Jessica Malone was hired as a full-time Pound Keeper for the Animal Shelter.
- The Commissioners signed an agreement with the Ohio Valley Regional Development Commission for 2026 participation.
- A grant agreement for Community Corrections and a resolution to apply for the Rural Industrial Park Program were approved.
- The board passed a resolution of necessity for a new levy to support the Lawrence County Board of Developmental Disabilities.
Authorization and Executive Session
- The Acting Administrator was given authority to sign legal documents between meetings.
- An executive session was held with Brigham Anderson and Ralph Kline to discuss real estate and legal contracts.
- Approval was given for legal counsel to prepare liens on behalf of Lawrence County and the Port Authority.
Community Updates
- Charles L. shared that Macedonia Church renovations will be done in the next few months and they are seeking someone for daily operations.
- Commissioner Holliday suggested the tourism board could help support community efforts like the church.
- Commissioner Finley praised EMS staff for their skillful response in a recent emergency.

Appointments:
Charles L. announced the Macedonia Church renovations will be finished in the next few months. The church is searching for someone to handle day-to-day operations for the church.
DeAnna Holliday discussed the tourism board which may be beneficial to this cause. Noted the commissioners could have a meeting once renovations are completed.
Mike Finley commended EMS for skills and handling an emergency effectively.

PROJECT FIRST IMPRESSION
Project First Impression is a collaboration between the Lawrence County Commissioners and the Lawrence-Scioto Solid Waste Management District. This initiative brings together law enforcement, trustees, mayors, officeholders, and citizens to work as one and stop people from illegally dumping and littering throughout the county.
