  1. Moved by Commissioner Copley, seconded by Commissioner Finley, to approve the Meeting Minutes on August 4, 2026, as corrected. Roll call: Finley and Copley voted yes.
  2. Moved by Commissioner Finley, seconded by Commissioner Copley, to approve the following floodplain permits submitted by the Soil and Water Conservation District. Roll call: Finley and Copley voted yes.
    • Renewal, permit 2026-834: Car Stop Pre-Owned Auto LLC, non-residential repair/construction project located at 218 Co. Rd. 402.

  3. Moved by Commissioner Copley, seconded by Commissioner Finley, to approve the appropriations and transfers dated August 11, 2026, under $75,000.00, submitted by Dylan Bentley, County Administrator. Roll call: Finley and Copley voted yes.
  4. Moved by Commissioner Finley, seconded by Commissioner Copley, to approve the transfer of $700,000 from K00-12A-061-000 to N54-12A-157-061. Roll call: Finley and Copley voted yes.
  5. Moved by Commissioner Copley, seconded by Commissioner Finley, to approve and sign the Project Closeout Report for AIP grant NO. 3-39-0107-016-2024. Roll call: Finley and Copley voted yes.
  6. The request to approve and sign the Pre-Award Condition Forms, submitted by Dave Marcum, was tabled for the next business meeting.
  7. Judge Ballard presented the joint recommendation of himself and Judge Finley to reappoint Natalie Adams as Lawrence County’s representative on the STAR Community-Based Correctional Facility Governing Board. Ms. Adams has agreed to continue serving and was praised for her contributions, particularly her mental-health expertise. The Board will consider the appointment when Commissioner Holliday is present and will provide the signed appointment letter for submission to STAR.
  8. Moved by Commissioner Finley, seconded by Commissioner Copley, to meet in executive session with Dylan Bentley and Colton Kuhn regarding legal contracts and real estate. Roll call: Finley and Copley voted yes. On call back, roll call: Finley and Copley voted yes.
