Covid Case Rates 4th Highest in the State

We are seeing an increase in covid cases in Lawrence County. In June, we had a total of 65 cases for the month. Total count for July (as of yesterday) is 225 new cases. According to coronavirus.ohio.gov, Lawrence County is 4th in the state for the highest number of cases per 100,000 residents over the last 2 weeks. Please do what you can to stop the spread of this disease. Please consider getting a covid vaccine, if you haven’t already done so. Fully vaccinated people would not be asked to quarantine if they have close contact with someone who has covid-19. CDC recommends that everyone (regardless of vaccine status) wear a mask indoors if the possibility of covid transmission is high. CDC’s latest guidance also recommends that everyone wear masks in schools, also regardless of vaccine status. Stay safe!
